The SV-5400 LCD projection system answers your need for an economical visual presentation system, with no compromise in performance. The SV-5400 is a composite-video projector (NTSC/PAL), so it is great for showing movies, or even simple fMRI tasks by using the optional VGA converter. And the 5400 projector mounts at the rear of any magnet, so it remains conveniently out of your work flow.

The SV-5400 uses Avotec’s exclusive In-bore™ screen, so your patients can always see the visual presentation. And the SV5400 ensures your patient’s safety with noise-free scanning since there are no active electronics in the bore.

Helpful hint: Consider the Silver Screen™ system if you are looking for a combined audio/visual system.

  • Overview
  • Technical Specifications

The SV-5400 is a composite video, LCD projection system designed for MR use. The 5400 system accepts NTSC/PAL video inputs, or VGA inputs using the optional VGA converter.

The SV-5400 system includes an LCD projector, typically located at the rear of the magnet, and a video interface/power supply located in the control room. The projector displays images on a rear projection screen that hangs in the bore. The patient views the projected images using a coil-mounted mirror.

The projector is mounted on a mobile stand that can be easily moved. The In-bore™ screen attaches to inside of the bore using Velcro mounts that can also be easily removed.

The video signal is relayed from the video interface to the projector over a fiber optic link to ensure EMI immunity. DC power is supplied over a hard-wired cable that passes through a filter on the penetration panel.
